Description
Eloralintide — Selective AMY1R Amylin Receptor Agonist Peptide
Eloralintide is a synthetic, lipidated 37-residue analogue of human amylin, engineered as a selective agonist acting at the AMY1R amylin receptor subtype. It is supplied for in vitro laboratory research use only.
Research context
Published cAMP-activation assay literature reports eloralintide to be approximately 11-fold more potent at AMY1R than at AMY3R, and approximately 12-fold more potent at AMY1R than at the calcitonin receptor, in transfected receptor-expressing cell-line systems — a receptor-selectivity profile distinct from non-selective amylin-receptor analogues. Structural studies describe a methylene thioacetal bridge between Cys2 and Cys7 in place of the native disulfide bond, together with three non-coded residues at positions 11, 15 and 22, intended to produce a molecule suited to reproducible in vitro handling. A gamma-Glu-gamma-Glu-C20 diacid side chain at Lys26 has been characterised as driving albumin-binding behaviour relevant to plasma protein-binding assay design. These structural and pharmacological characteristics have been examined using cAMP-based functional assays in cell lines individually engineered to express each amylin-receptor subtype.
