Description
BPC-157 — Pentadecapeptide, Body Protection Compound
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide, a partial sequence derived from a naturally occurring gastric protective protein. It is supplied for in vitro laboratory research only.
Research context
Preclinical literature has examined BPC-157 in angiogenesis assays, including VEGF-pathway signaling and endothelial tube formation models. Investigators have studied its effects on fibroblast and tendon-derived cell migration, and its interaction with the FAK-paxillin signaling complex in vitro. Model systems also include gastric and intestinal epithelial cell cultures used to study epithelial cell migration and barrier-function assays.
