Description
AHK-Cu — Copper Tripeptide Complex
AHK-Cu is a copper-bound tripeptide complex, structurally related to GHK-Cu. It is supplied for in vitro laboratory research only.
Research context
Published preclinical work has examined this copper-peptide complex in cultured dermal papilla cell models and in assays measuring vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signalling. Investigators have used micro-vascularisation assay systems and cell-proliferation assays in hair follicle-derived cell cultures to characterise copper-dependent signalling responses in vitro. Comparative receptor-binding assays alongside structurally related copper-tripeptide complexes have further examined differences in cellular uptake and signalling kinetics under these conditions.
