Description
PTD-DBM — Wnt/β-Catenin Pathway Modulator
PTD-DBM (Protein Transduction Domain-Dvl-Binding Motif) is a synthetic, cell-permeable peptide that interferes with the interaction between CXXC5 and Dishevelled (Dvl). It is supplied for in vitro laboratory research only.
Research context
Preclinical literature has examined this compound in cell and tissue culture models of Wnt/β-catenin pathway signalling, including assays of β-catenin accumulation and CXXC5-Dvl protein-protein interaction disruption. Follicular stem cell culture models have been used to study telogen-to-anagen transition signalling, and co-exposure studies with other growth-factor pathway modulators have examined combined Wnt-pathway responses in vitro. Mass-spectrometry-based methods have also been used to confirm peptide integrity and CXXC5-Dvl complex disruption across these in vitro assay conditions.
