HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) is a glycoprotein hormone composed of alpha and beta subunits, structurally related to luteinizing hormone (LH). It is supplied for in vitro laboratory research only.

Research context

Published preclinical literature has examined HCG’s interaction with the LH/hCG receptor (LHCGR), a G-protein-coupled receptor, in gonadal cell line models. Work in this area has used receptor-binding assays and cAMP second-messenger pathway activation as readouts of receptor engagement and downstream signalling.
