PNC-27 — Chimeric Peptide, p53-HDM2 Binding Domain

PNC-27 is a chimeric peptide combining a p53-derived HDM2-binding domain (residues 12-26) with a membrane-resident carrier sequence. It is supplied for in vitro laboratory research only.

Research context

Preclinical literature has examined PNC-27’s antagonism of the HDM2 protein expressed on the membranes of select malignant cell lines, and its induction of membrane poration in those cells. Investigators have studied its non-apoptotic, ATP-depletion-driven cell-lysis pathway as an alternative to conventional apoptotic signaling in vitro. Model systems include cultured malignant cell lines used in membrane-integrity and cytotoxicity assay models.
