Description
Kisspeptin-10 — KISS1R/GPR54 Receptor Ligand
Kisspeptin-10 is a synthetic decapeptide derived from the KISS1 gene product, acting as a ligand for the KISS1R receptor (also designated GPR54). It is supplied for in vitro laboratory research only.
Research context
Preclinical literature has examined this compound in receptor-binding assays using KISS1R/GPR54-expressing cell lines, and in hypothalamic explant and GnRH-neuron cell culture models studying gonadotropin-releasing hormone neuron signalling. Electrophysiological and calcium-signalling assays have also used kisspeptin-10 to characterise GPR54 receptor activation kinetics in vitro. Comparative structure-activity studies have examined truncated and modified kisspeptin analogues alongside kisspeptin-10 to characterise receptor-binding determinants at KISS1R/GPR54.
