Description
SLU-PP-322 — Synthetic ERRα/β/γ Agonist Small Molecule
SLU-PP-322 is a synthetic small-molecule agonist acting at the estrogen-related receptor (ERR) family — ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ. It is supplied for in vitro laboratory research use only.
Research context
Published biochemical literature has examined SLU-PP-322’s binding affinity at ERRα/β/γ and its downstream effect on transcriptional activation of genes governing mitochondrial biogenesis and fatty-acid oxidation enzyme pathways, using transfected reporter cell-line assays. In vitro studies in skeletal-muscle cell-culture models have examined shifts in oxidative-fibre gene-expression markers following receptor activation. Transcriptional-reporter and gene-expression assays remain the primary in vitro methodologies applied to this compound in the published literature. Receptor-selectivity studies using radiolabelled-ligand displacement across the three ERR subtypes have further characterised its relative binding affinity for each isoform, with dose-response curve fitting applied to derive comparative potency values in each individual cell-line model across multiple independent assay replicates performed on separate days.
